Terms of Service

These terms apply to work carried out by Carling Cottage Care in Carling Township, Parry Sound and surrounding communities. Anything agreed in writing for your property takes precedence over this page.

Quotes and scope

Quotes are based on what we can see at the time of our visit. If we find something different once work starts — rot behind siding, concealed damage, or a bigger repair than expected — we stop, tell you, and get your approval before continuing.

Scheduled visits

Visit schedules are best efforts. Weather, road conditions, ice and storm response for other clients can move a visit by a day or two. We do not guarantee that a scheduled check will prevent every loss; a check reduces risk, it does not eliminate it.

Access

You are responsible for providing safe access, keys or codes, and telling us about hazards, alarms, pets and anyone else with access. Keys and codes are kept secure and used only for agreed work.

What we do not do

We do not provide plowing or snow removal, water-system opening or winterization, utility connection or disconnection, security lockup, or boat winterization and lift services. Work requiring a specific licence is carried out by an appropriately licensed trade.

Payment

Invoices are issued after the work or at the end of the service period and are payable within 15 days unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Insurance and liability

We are insured and bonded, and proof is available on request. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, damage from events between scheduled visits, or losses your own insurer covers.

Cancellation

Either of us can end an ongoing arrangement with 30 days' written notice. Work already performed remains payable.
